What is the Crimson Moon?

The Crimson Moon is a random world event that can occur on any night. It typically appears approximately once every 7 in-game days, though the exact timing is never guaranteed — it can strike sooner or later without warning.

When the Crimson Moon rises, the rules of the night change entirely.

What changes during the event?

You cannot sleep. Beds will not work for the duration of the event. You must survive until morning.

Creature spawn rates are significantly increased. Both ordinary mobs and Beyonder Creatures appear far more frequently than usual. Do not underestimate the danger — what would normally be a quiet night can quickly become overwhelming.

Stay alert

The combination of no sleep and increased spawns makes the Crimson Moon one of the most dangerous times to be outside. Make sure you have armor, potions, and an escape route before nightfall if you plan to take advantage of this event.

Fishing during the Crimson Moon

One of the unique features of the Crimson Moon is that fishing becomes a source of Beyonder rewards. Cast your fishing rod into any body of water and you may pull up something unusual.

However, fishing during the Crimson Moon is not without risk.

You might fish out more than you bargained for

Alongside ingredients, you can also hook Beyonder mobs — creatures that will immediately attack you when reeled in. Always be ready to fight before you finish the cast.

Fishing loot table

Fishing uses a weighted loot system. Lower-value ingredients are much more likely to be caught, while rarer and more valuable resources have significantly lower odds. That said, even a lucky low-sequence player can reel in something genuinely useful.

• Don’t fish alone at low Sequences — the mobs you can hook may be far above your current power level
• Use the increased spawns — if you need acting points or Beyonder drops, this is an excellent time to hunt creatures
