Beyonder Loot

As you explore the world, you will encounter many types of Beyonder loot. Understanding where each category comes from — and how to improve your chances of finding what you need — is essential to progressing as a Beyonder.

All Beyonder loot falls into one of four broad categories:

  • Potions — ready-to-drink Beyonder potions
  • Beyonder Chars — versatile items used in brewing, crafting, and consumption
  • Recipes & Pages — knowledge needed to brew potions
  • Ingredients — raw materials required for brewing

Potions are fully brewed Beyonder items that can be consumed directly to gain or advance your Sequence. They can occasionally be found in loot containers throughout the world, though they are rare.

Beyonder Chars are versatile items with multiple uses:

  • Replace all main ingredients in a potion recipe when brewing
  • Used to craft Sealed Artifacts
  • Consumed directly by certain pathways for special effects

Chars can be found in loot containers and are among the more sought-after rewards for active Beyonders.

To brew a potion, you need to know its recipe. Recipe knowledge comes in two forms:

Complete Recipe Books A full recipe book contains the entire ingredient list needed to brew a specific potion. Found in loot containers, these are the straightforward option.

Separate Recipe Pages You may find individual pages from a recipe — fragments of the full book. Each page can be read on its own to give you partial knowledge, but to actually use them for brewing you must collect all the pages for that recipe and combine them at a crafting table to form the complete recipe book.

Ingredients are the raw materials used in brewing. Unlike other loot categories, they cannot be focused (see below). There are three types, each with a distinct acquisition method:

These ingredients only appear inside loot containers scattered throughout the world. They cannot be farmed from mobs or found in the wild — exploration and chest-hunting is the only way.

These ingredients only drop from Beyonder Creatures upon death. Hunting the right type of creature in the right biome is the key to obtaining these.

These ingredients appear in the open world as resource nodes — a glowing or distinct object that spawns naturally in certain areas.

To collect one:

  1. Approach the node
  2. Interact with it (right-click)
  3. It will drop the ingredient and disappear

Resource nodes do not respawn immediately, so if you find a spot with them, it may be worth revisiting later.

To reduce the frustration of RNG-heavy exploration, the server uses a reward focusing system — a built-in pity mechanic.

You can choose to focus one of the following four categories:

Focus CategoryDescription
PotionsIncreases pity towards finding a Beyonder potion
Recipes OR PagesIncreases pity towards finding recipe books or pages
Altar ScrollsIncreases pity towards finding blueprints for Cauldrons or Sacrificial Altars of various tiers

Once you select a focus category, the system tracks how many loot containers you have opened without receiving a reward from that category.

  • If you open N−1 containers without getting anything from your focused category, the N-th container is guaranteed to contain a reward from it.
  • This resets after you receive the focused reward, and the pity counter starts again.

The exact value of N is not publicly disclosed, but the system ensures that no focused category can be indefinitely unlucky. Choose your focus based on what you need most right now, and explore consistently to take advantage of the guarantee.
